Hello Sing Show! Family,
It is Over the past week, we have been planning, filming, and editing our “Gratitude” series! For this series, we took our lights, cameras, and puppets “on the road” to meet up with our Special Guests, Dear Darling, as well as interviewing a “new-ish” local bookshop, Ruby’s Books! We can’t wait to share these episodes with you… in fact, there is a secret link in this newsletter to a teaser of the upcoming show! You’ll have to hunt around to find it!
A Story of Thanks
When I was in Junior High, I went to a concert with some friends. I don’t remember the band we went to see, but I do remember the opening act. The man on stage sat at a keyboard and sang several songs. His final song was a song called “I’m Thankful,” and he told a story about how he wrote the song while he was visiting a school. He asked the kids to write down little rhymes for things they were thankful for, and then he would write a song using their ideas. One by one, the kids brought up their papers with their gratitude rhyme, and he sang each of their little verses to the class. When he got to the last student, he looked down at the paper, read what the child had written, and this is the verse he sang: “For nice clean clothes, and boogers in your nose! I’m thankful, I’m thankful!”
We hope you find some time today to reflect on the little joys and grateful things that surround you, no matter how big, small, or viscous!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! We will see you Sunday!
